WTH

    Hello 2008 Prius with 300,000 kms. my rear defogger, A/C, hybrid battery fan and power to the fuel pump all crashed at same time. Checked all fuses and relays that i could find. A/C pump runs when A/C activated at MFD but blows warm air. Is there a magnetic clutch in the electric pump? Fuel pump positive lead has momentary power at startup and immeditly dies. I ran a power line from the fuse box and pump works fine engine stays running. Hybrid battery fan has both powers at relay but never kicked in. If i bypassed the relay with a jumper wire for the fan side "The Red Triangle" comes on. Also i forgot to mention the radiator fan also does not kick in. Any help is appreciated.

    Did you use an OBD2 scanner to retrieve any OBD2 codes that might be worth posting in this thread?

    Do you have any rodents problems locally, or in the interior or exterior areas of the vehicle?

    There is no clutch in the Prius AC system. I suspect that this is a data communication failure rather than several power failures, and rodent damage is a real possibility.

    I second the suggestion to pull diagnostic codes.

    I had pulled codes when engine light was on and it was for the air/fuel ratio sensor, replaced that and no other codes come up. No sign of rodents in the car at all, no droppings all visible wires good ( removed all dash panels and rear panels to check) even under hood looks good. Tried following wiring diagrams but anything i can test comes out good.. I myself am thinking data communication issues but i would prefer not to fire the parts cannon if i can help it. Maybe a bad imobilizer or green crust in an electrical connection? P.S. Thanks for the replies.

    Which OBD2 scanner are you using to retrieve the codes (DTCs) ?

    Generally speaking, if there are warning lights being displayed on the dash, there are OBD2 codes (DTCs) stored in the computers (ECUs).
    You may need to source a toyota hybrid compatible OBD2 scanner, as the existing scanner may not be up to the task.

    What was the model # of that innova?

    Can your Innova do bidirectional controls? First thing I would do is to look at wiring diagrams for all the inoperative systems and see if there's any circuit common to all. Then I would use bidirectional control (ignition on, not ready- with a charger hooked to the 12V) and tell the ECM to turn on the fuel pump.

    If there's no power at the pump then start tracing it back to the circuit opening relay and see what's missing. The 7.5A IGN fuse supplies power to the relay coil (+) while the ECM switches the coil (-) to ground when it wants to turn the pump on.
