Yes, I know there are plenty of threads about the HV Battery, but I wanted to get a brand new OEM battery, but they are backordered and don't exactly know when they will come in...not to mention they want $2,600 now. The Project Lithium batteries are out of stock, so I can't get those either. We're trying to figure out what exactly to do at this point. It's my father's and he uses it for work every single day. He drives a lot. It has a P0A80 code that came on today and the Delta SOC is at 42.50%. The life expectancy is at 33% according to Dr. Prius. The car has 152k mi. on it. Any advice on where to get a battery that is new?

go with greenbean, or another reputable rebuilder. or diy it. there aren't many other options.

i think there might be one or two aftermarket with new cells.

and check salvage yards and ebay.

are you near cape canaveral or tampa?

Alot of the salvage yards have one that the cars have more than 125k mi. on them. If the one that we have only lasted 150k, then I would only get 25k mi out of a salvage yard battery that costs $1k. I am near Tampa more than Cape Canaveral. I'd diy it, but then I have the balance and rebalance the pack, and I would have to spend money on that piece of equipment. I'm thinking of Green Bean, but have heard good things and bad things about them.

Be depressing spending good $$$ on a used battery... (green bean and others)
