Had to borrow tools and work LATE the past couple nights at work but she is in. Here's some pics from the install. Right out of the gate gained maybe 4-5 mpg, probably going higher as the ECU learns. Tech Stream shows it was running cool and the proper voltage. Be careful not to over torque those bus-bar nuts because it will break the posts, only hand tight with a wrench. Tough job for the first time but we're going to be doing more of these at the shop soon.

So far 52-53 mpg (on the dash) but that is about 3 mpg high, so maybe 50. I was getting 45-47 already with my good old pack so not so enthused about the MPG gains, hopefully they outlast the nickel packs in the long run. The cost per MPG gain will take you awhile to recoup the initial purchase amount...so unless your stock battery is going OUT, think about spending slightly more with the dealer and getting a 10 year warranty.

Is this the 2100 some odd dollar Dr Prius lithium project battery or another one?

Yeah I tried to do that about 6 months ago. Nada. And I had to have a battery pronto because I drive the hell out of the car every day every week 24/7/365 almost and they were talking months of wait time I could have risked it and gone with the used or refurbed thing but I just didn't want to put my money in that at the time I hadn't met the hybrid doctor. So I bit the bullet and spent the 1396 on a brand new Toyota rack of cells. So I'm imagining I'll get close to the 20 years that I got out of the first original battery that had never been tested touched or messed with until I bought the car I knew the original owner of this car from the minute it rolled off the showroom floor and I've every piece of paper work that was ever generated for the car which is almost none this car had to have nothing done to it except oil changes and driving it.

Update on first tank MPG. A/C blowing most of the time, 90 degree days..driving normal. Up from 46-47...I think I can even do better.

I've got 502 on the Gen 2 right now and one dot left on the gas not too bad for an old beater

2nd tank with the Lithium pack, added two photos at different mileage on the trip meter for transparency. 2 bars left with 542 miles logged is amazing for a V.

That's what I'm making the two if I let it go to fumes and flashing like crazy and then add 25 more miles. Puts it close to 5:50 but I don't like to run it down that low

Which set is it? They don't specify a kit for the Prius V specifically, but I assume its compatible with the existing ones.

Kieth, it's the same one as the Gen 2, 3 and Lexus CT200h...all compatible.
