    Hello,
I have a 2009 prius that doesn't lock with key fob nor with the door button. Trunk also doesn't open at all.
When I press the unlcok button on the key fob, the light flash but i don't hear anything unlocking either. Panic button works fyi. I checked battery voltage and it's good. What do you think issue is ?

I have same vehicle when you flip your remote over is the Toyota logo silver? Level with your crotch below the steering wheel is there a k e y button to push? Does your car only start with the remote docked in the slot? With the remote in the slot you open the door beeps but it does not when the remote is on docked? Thanks

I have a 2005 Prius with a similar problem... It works fine after I charge the 12v battery up, but doesn't take long for lock function to stop working while unlock function always works. Have you googled this with keyword PriusChat to see what others on here have said in the past? It's on my to-do list but haven't done it yet.

Is there a door open light on the dash? Many cars won't lock if a door is open, so if a door position sensor fails by indicating the door is open (even when it is not), then that car can no longer be locked.

Note, the door open circuitry draws rather a lot of current in the "open" state because the switch pulls a low resistance line to ground. It wouldn't be good to let a car like that sit unused for too long, as it would discharge the battery much faster than normal.
