Any idea why every SAS on eBay says it does not fit the 2012 Prius ? Also on Toyota part website I can’t find a part for just the SAS it seems like they sell only the whole clockspring with sensor, why is that? My SAS that went bad from my car has a part number but all those eBay listings say specifically doesn’t fit 2012 models. Thanks in advanced!

I think Ebay updated their part compatibility rules recently... For example the same aftermarket Catalytic converter I've put on several Gen2 Prius was always compatible according to Ebay but as of last week there are none that are compatible despite all of them formerly being compatible and all of them being labeled and sold as such. If nothing else, it's a good excuse to get out of a purchase gone wrong.

Yea... It's always more profitable to sell the whole system at an inflated price rather than just the part you need inside it. The workaround for this is going to a pick 'n pull type junk yard and pulling the part yourself and having the person at the desk say: "I have no idea what this is, nor how to price it." That's usually the best price too! At least once you wait for them to figure it out in terms of data entry.

but even if you try to find the whole system on ebay you cant. just wondering if 2012 have anything specific that requires a different part or something like that.
