New member, multiple Prius owner. I own 3 Gen 2 Prius for the last 5 years and things are starting to go South but nothing I haven't been able to fix but 2 days ago I got the death triangle, no big deal, check codes, it's the coolant valve, replaced it, all good. Now today, after driving just 15 miles, again, the triangle and code PA093 inverter pump, checked reservoir and no movement, coincidence the day after changing the coolant valve, ok. Replaced the inverter pump, clamped the hoses so no coolant loss but was going to bleed anyway but no movement in the reservoir again, hmm, checked the 15amp fuse, good, hmm, checked the voltage ate the pump connector and get 12.9V. Am I missing something? With 12+V at the connector shouldn't the pump run? Maybe a bad new pump? Unfortunatley, today was trash day and threw the old pump away so cannot test it.

    Welcome to PriusChat!!
How many miles on this vehicle?

Has the coolant ever been replaced? (if so, did you use oem SLLC or something else)

Where are you buying these replacement pumps from?

    FYI : you're moderated until you've posted 5 times.

Yes on the coolant replacement. Bought it at a Toyota dealer, trade in on a new one, 1 owner all service records at that dealer. Bought it with 70,000 miles.
    SLLC only
    Bought the replacement at Orielys

Thought they came with a lifetime warranty?
Sounds like you have a faulty pump.

Get an OEM pump. I had a Dorman for a while, and it actually seemed to be a more powerful pump than the OEM. But every once and a while it would decide "on this start, me no pump". Mighty inconvenient. Replaced it with a OEM pump and no problems since.

Unfortunatley, I also orderd a Dorman. I installed the warranty replacement pump today, it works. For how long we will see.

After market pumps do not work well. In fact there a big waste of time and money based on how many posts we have seen here about them.

New Toyota pump online is $132.

I wouldn't use after market parts anywhere on my Prius. Its all Chinese junk now...all of it especially electronic & suspension parts.
