    Hello everyone,

Firstly thank you in advance for taking the time to read this post and offer any help, I really appreciate it.

I purchased a brand new Android head unit from eBay for my 2011 Prius. Unfortunately, it arrived with no installation documentation, and the seller has been less than helpful, this is my first radio install and I can't seem to locate any brand name or documentation for this head unit. My Prius is a base model 2011 without the JBL system. Only 2 of the radio connectors connect to the car wiring harness, I don't know what the other 2 connectors on the car wiring harness do, but feel as though they serve some kind of functionality as they were connected to the stock radio. The 3 connectors I'm holding belong to the radio wiring harness and don't fit any of the connectors on the cars' wiring harness. There are also open ended wires and I don't know what to do with those. I have included all possible photos in hopes that they will better help illustrate my situation. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge will kindly chime in and offer guidance or can point me toward installation documentation as I primarily don't want to damage anything in regard to the electrical system of the car.

Thank you again for your time and any help provided, I really appreciate it.

Oh boy you've bought one of these things I've been waiting to see one of these does this have a nab system built into it? Or did it say so when you bought it since you have no documentation fundamentally what it looks like happens is the wiring harnesses that you have plug to the back of the radio that you bought and then the plugs from your car should plug in to one of those two or three harnesses that are plugging into the back of the new radio is that not possible you need to put the harnesses into the new radio and see what plugs are on the end You're two or three plugs should be able to go in those receptacles on the end of the harnesses that you plugged into the new radio If not you have the wrong harnesses I don't know if correct harnesses are available or you ordered the wrong radio assembly I'm going back to look at your pictures of your factory radio which has the long and the short plug it looks like that go to the back of your factory radio so those two receptacles should be mounted to the backs of one of those or both of those lengths of harnesses that go to your new radio

The first radio harness right below the picture of the back of the radio you bought with all the white plugs on it looks like it has the four plugs that your car has behind the radio with the factory unit unplugged but I can't see them all that clearly you need to take a look again The first harness see if all four of your connectors in your car will plug in to that first harness It has the backup camera yellow wire left and right and all that and a black plug that goes to the new radio the white plugs or receptacles should accept the plugs from your old radio which are four

There will probably one maybe 2, factory connectors which won't be used. One is for factory BT microphone. Some units the XM is built in to the HU,others an external box.

You might want to pay someone to install your unit.

Thank you for your reply. I, unfortunately, don't know what you mean by "NAB system" this is all new to me. I tried to include links to the ebay listing as well as a video I filmed of the wiring harness. However, I wasn't able to include those links in this post as it would not let me do so.

2 of the connectors on the new radio wiring hardness connect to 2 of the connectors on the cars' wiring harness, leaving 2 connectors on the car vacant. I did notice on the eBay listing it does list out the various connectors on the radio wiring harness, it shows that connectors 7 and 8 are for steering wheel control, however, those connectors do not fit my car so I assume I will not have steering wheel controls. I haven't hooked up the new radio or powered it on simply because I didn't want to dive into something I didn't yet fully understand. Again I was expecting there to be installation documentation included. With all that said I have a sinking feeling that I'll probably end up returning this unit, unfortunately.

I am aware, I am new to forums in general and I posted this in two separate areas, for some reason this one got moved to this area even though I had already posted here. I don't know how to delete the old one.

It looks like I will have 2 unused connectors, I simply didn't know if that was normal. My stock head unit has XM built in but I don't use it.I dont have the BT microphone either. Would you happen to know what the unused connectors go to from looking at the photo i provided with the 2 of them already connected?

I was asking if you had nav n a v navigation does this head unit have navigation or is it just a radio with Android type Apple play stuff or what's happening here I was looking at a unit just like this that converts the generation 3 to I want to say a 9-in display better quality display Android Apple play like stuff in it might have even kept the CD player I don't know I'm not sure and it was inexpensive like the thing you've bought here I just hadn't had time to fool around with it yet I rarely ride in the Gen 3 or drive it

oh okay, yes it has NAV and supposedly supports Apple Car play & Andriod Auto. But I haven't yet hooked up the radio to confirm this. Here is a link to the eBay listing, maybe it'll give you further insight into the head unit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/394261041897?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vzB_M7ERSQu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=2goad4QETq-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
