Remote Start on Prius Prime

Do you need an Advanced Prime or will it work on the other models too, such as the Premium?

 

he hasn't been around for a few months. if he doesn't reply, pm him and ask if he is making any progress. i suspect a stumbling block, but it probably just takes a long tome to get something like this into production

 

After watching the video for 5 or 6 minutes, I can only imagine what was happening inside the Primes computers.

 

In the following scenario, will the ICE start and will the last set heater controls be used on remote start:

• return from work late afternoon (~5:30 PM) and plug in to charge the Prius Prime traction battery
• hybrid mode is selected
• at approximately 10 PM, the charger is unplugged from the PP and the charge port door is closed
• the traction battery is fully charged or has some level of charge the next morning

When using the remote starter to start the PP the following morning (~6:15 AM) will the ICE start and will the last set heater controls be used?

 

I can now answer my own question having had a Compustar remote starter installed a month ago.

The ICE does start and so does the windshield defrost come on when using the remote starter, as long as the charge cable is not connected.
