    Any mention of a spare?

Interesting that it specifically mentions 3 door SKS and push button start for XLE and above but nothing about what the LE gets for key or even drivers door SKS... Physical key?

The tires are about a 1/2 inch larger in diameter. Suspension was probably lifted a little to give the larger wheels better fit.

Would that mean you can't swap wheels from the higher trims?

No. By fit, I'm thinking more along the lines of appearance. The LE could have been lowered a little to narrow the visible gap between tire and body panel to make it look better.

Another possibility is the LE was lowered for better aerodynamics.

Which might explain it's better mpg rating.

So no HUD anymore? Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere. That would be very lame. It was the perfect complement to the offset speedometer and greatly helped retain visibility . It would explain why the new speedometer is so bulky.

The instrument cluster is placed right below where the HUD would be. It's not needed in this setup.

@Danny It'd be great if you could do something similar for the Canadian trims.

In this particular case, I'm not bothered by the cost cutting.

I'd like to know whether the steering wheel is partly in the way of seeing the new instrument cluster.

That would mostly be from the difference in the wheel sizes.

Weight difference between the trims can also be a factor in the ground clearance difference.

Current prime is 3k more than regular Prius safe to say that the new Prime starts at 31-32k for base

Looks like the larger wheels result in 5 mpg penalty. I think I'd be willing to give up a little handling prowess for that kind of efficiency gain. Low profile tires are also louder from what I gather. Toyota should offer the 17" wheel option on any trim.

You can switch ‘em, but yeah the cost and hassle is frustrating. In Canada Toyota’s only offering a couple of options, both 19” wheels. A serious shift of the goalposts.
