    Good day,
New to being a Prius owner so that explains the questions. Doing research on the car but this site is clearly the best.

I need to replace two of my tires. I am presently running Bridgestone 185/65R15 88H all around (I don't see any specific name other than Bridgestone). The tires I am replacing have good tread by have cracking on the sidewall so they need to go. The tires were made in 2016 and 2019. The other two Bridgestone's were produced in 2021. The tire choices makes it hard to decide. Like most, looking for a good tire, good ride, quiet and better gas mileage. I am not concerned with brand names as some of the lesser known brands are just as good and in some cases better than the well know brand names. I thank all for looking and any advice. Rick

I have tried several different kinds and have found the best all around all season tire to be
Bridgestone ecopia 422 Plus. Best price I have seen is Amazon $130 each shipped to your door so about $600 total then $25 per tire for install at your local Wal Mart. ROTATE your tires OFTEN! I do mine every 2,000 miles. I bought a pneumatic impact wrench and torque wrench and tire Jack and Jack stands to make this easier for me. If you rotate often you will get wayyyy more life out of the tires. You can get a complete set up for $200 cheaper but long tire life and my family’s safe ty is well worth the extra $200 for me. Crap tires installed are $500 these are $700.

Thanks for the information. I never rotated my tires about every 10K but with a Prius my guess things are different. Thanks so much for the tips. You are right about safety, cheep tires will put you in the ditch! Have a safe New Year! :)

Yes the regenerative breaking on the front wheels wears the tires down faster up front so I rotate every 2k miles to get the longest life out of them. When I tried to wait to 3K or even 4K the fronts just wore down too quickly compared to the rear. Or you could not rotate at all and just buy 2 new front tires every 2 years. Depends on how much you drive. We drive a lot so I try to maximize tire life as best I can.

Exactly the same Ecopia 422 plus and slightly next taller size. 195-65-15. I bought mine 98k miles and I have 152k now and I still have plenty left. I still have the original tires on another rim. I tried using it once in the winter. After that I never went back to 185. For my purpose which is less stop and go city/highways, I prefer the ride of the 195 better. My gas consumption is probably the same 45-47 mpg. On my next tire purchase if all goes well in the next 2 years, I will buy the same exact tires and size.

Consider replacing all four, just to avoid future hassles with the other two.
