Hey all, long time reader, first time poster. 2010 Prius IV. 184000 miles. Previously did EGR cooler cleaning and plugs at 130k. at about 175k I had cylinder misfire code, that turned out to be fixed with new coils. Just last week was getting hesitation at low rpm, with random misfire codes again, so decided to tackle intake manifold cleaning, and check egr pipe. It didn't seem to be a problem at higher rpm. EGR pipe had a fair amount of crud, so cleaned that. Intake Manifold was super dirty also, oil in bottom of throttle body, and manifold pressure sensor was covered in oil. so i cleaned everything, then put all back together. tried to start, got check hybrid system pointing to Manifold sensor. i went back, took things apart, MAF looks fine, i cleaned the manifold sensor, double checked connections, then crossed fingers. still got check hybrid. Dr Prius says P0102, P0113, P0403, P3190, and POAFC.
My goal was to get the car running good enough to trade it in. I need to get newer with less miles as my new job requires a lot of driving, so i can't be on side of the road. Those codes seem to be related to MAF sensor, and EGR circuit. Any thoughts, help on what to double check?
I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, all of my other maintenance with this car has gone flawlessly. None of these codes before my maintenance. I'm pretty sure everything is back together, i did have a little bit of coolant leak out as I was going to pull the cooler valve and clean, but i decided to wait and see if i needed that. i did drop the back nut for the cooler valve down in the catch tray somewhere ( i was planning to pull the whole thing, but decided to wait and see - so i tightened the top one without removing the big egr unit. BTW, no coolant leaking, so while i'm aware of head gasket stuff, i don't think i'm there yet. thanks in advance everyone!

so quick update - DOH, I retraced my steps again and I had forgotten to connect the hose from the pcv valve to bottom of intake manifold. Boom, CE light gone. Other news though, when i scan with my regular scanner app - no codes, no CE light. When I go into Dr Prius, I clear codes, then read codes and the above are still there, but no CE light. is there something Dr Prius knows that I don't?
I will do a test drive tomorrow to see if the cleaning cleared out the misfires which were my original issue.

Did you previously clean the intake manifold, when you did the EGR cleaning, at 135k miles, or now was the first time.

Just to clarify, was that the MAP or MAF sensor?

I had the intake manifold off a few weeks back, missed the same hose connection, and the car was not happy with me. It would not run beyond a few very unhappy seconds, then displayed “CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM”, check engine light and yellow triangle. I figured it out, reconnected the hose, it ran ok and it took a few start ups but eventually everything back to normal, all lights/warning turned off.

With some codes, you have to drive awhile until the computer realizes everything is fine.
Then the code will go away.
