    Yep and a good reminder to check the air level in your spare, periodically. My Tundra has a spare inconveniently located under the bed of the truck so you have to use a long bar to slowly lower it down. I, also, clean it off when I have it down....no protection from the mud and snow under there. I'm glad it's aluminum else it would, probably, be very rusty...it's a 2014.

    Totally agree. I drive all over uk ( including some dodgy areas ).
    if Mr T stops issuing cars with spare tyres that's a deal breaker for me. After 18 years of Toyota loyalty i will go someplace else.
    Today i looked at the corolla TS and the tech icon is no longer available as an offering here and that was the only model in 2022 that offered a spare tyre.

    If that becomes a popular sentiment I suspect spare tires will come back, they'll have to look elsewhere for weight savings. Just ditching the spare smacks of lazy engineering.

    Why dont they save weight by making the moon roof out of modern uv set acrylic?

    Base level with spare and sans moon roof would be my pref.

    I'm sure there was a document released saying the base North American level (SE) will have a spare. Currently toyota.com (US site) says something like "tire repair kit" for all levels. So we wait...

    That is a real shame. I have never been a fan of gunk in a can.

    Air is the only thing that I put in my tires.

    I carry one of these. They are absolutely convenient to use.

    RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless High Pressure Inflator with Digital Gauge (Tool Only) P737D - The Home Depot

    With battery and charger;

    RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Power Inflator Kit with 1.5 Ah Battery and 18V Charger P737DKN - The Home Depot

    That goo might ruin the tire. the TPMS transmitter, and make it unrepairable. Using a plug will make the tire shop refuse to repair it with a patch from the inside - the correct way to repair a tire.

    I agree the spare tire should be essential. I felt that when Toyota went to so many different trim levels a lot of the essentials became luxuries. Like being able to use the smart key to open all three doors rather than just one. I definitely feel safer and secure with a spare tire riding with me. I personally don't think its about overall weight as much as cost savings or as mentioned lazy engineering
