PPF on the bumper/full hood/fenders/mirrors will help that. It's just expensive, but long term benefits are worth it.

I've heard about it. I've managed to keep the paint good on ours with about $80 worth of touch up paints over the past four years, for $20/year. How does that compare to the film cost and lifetime?

I like the cutting edge color better than the wind chill pearl, but I'm not quite convinced if it's going to be the gray interior.

Comparing my Wind Chill Pearl Prius with my wife's Sea Glass Pearl (light green) mine seems to be MUCH more durable. I have zero paint chips in the front or on the mirrors while my wife's has quite a few, over 25. Yep, my car gets horribly dirty here in the winter whenever they put down sand/ice melt on the roads but I just wait for a warmer day and wash it.

When i looked in the trunk yesterday to confirm the facing of the spare it looks like they have painted “sea glass pearl” as an undercoat to the “phantom blue” top coat.

I put a deposit down on the 2023 Prius Prime in cutting edge. I had a 2022 Prius in windchill white which is close to impossible to keep clean (and I garage my vehicles). I've always chosen black but since I live in the desert, I fell for white being cooler. There's little difference when the temp goes over 100 and it shows every single spec of dirt and chip from being on the freeway. Never again. I do think this new Prius Prime doesn't look the best in black and while I want a lighter color, will never ever go with white again, especially given you pay a premium for it. The cutting edge looks nice especially with the wheels and I think it won't show dirt half as well as the white did. Guardian gray comes in second to me but it's an odd gray and a unique color in and of itself. What I don't like is the red trim on the black interior.

You do know there is an interior sliding cover for both front/rear glass roof, right? No issues at all with the interior heating up.

I totally agree but isn’t it because that’s what they see selling best?

I don’t know why everyone in the US likes such boring colors. Many just don’t want the visibility of a brightly colored car.

I have the reservoir blue and think it is under appreciated as a color for the 2023 Prime. It looks awesome in an understated way. Although it was among my top choices, I also just had to take what I could get - and happy with it! My favorite in the 2023 is the supersonic red, it REALLY pops. For me would probably draw more attention than I want, so still happy with my understated blue:)

Yeah i originally wanted to make it a poll but for some reason couldnt that day, and dont see any options to add one when editing the post. Created a new one with a poll in response to all this but feel free to delete if you think it is too spammy lol

I wonder if I can merge the two threads and still keep the poll. Let me try.

I prefer Cutting Edge to Wind Chill Pearl but thats only because every other car I trip over around here is a white Tesla.

Or dealers order neutral tones rather than risk a real color sit too long on the lot. Then the buyer opts to take a car on the lot with some type of discount, than wait for an order of the color they want at possible higher price.
