Not going into Drive

    So today i changed the Spark Plugs. Before changing them, I disconnected the battery. After replacing the spark plugs. I put everything back, and connected the battery at the end. It gave me a pcs, abs, and some other symbols. After searching some videos, some stated it could be a bad battery. Took the battery to autozone and was told it was bad. Bought a new one, connected to the car and still no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will try to upload pictures in the future.

    First, no need to disconnect the battery to do plugs or most any work.

    Did you touch, move or remove the orange high voltage disconnect in the back? Did you try to jump the Prius with another car?

    I did remove the high voltage in the back. And after getting the new battery, i had it tested and was at 12.3 V

    Be sure the HV interlock is fully re-seated and re-locked.

    Often people don't make the last hv connect step

    Its not required to be removed for any routine maintenance

    Ok so drove the car. Went to autozone to return a product when i turn the car back on, the Hybrid System warning light was gone. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR FEEDBACK AND TIPS

    Get the entire EGR System Cleaned.................
    And read up in here about all of the other stuff that is going to go bad....

    Is a clogged EGR the reason why coolant drains so fast?

    If you are loosing water you have a Blown Head Gasket.................

    From the coolant reservoir? Would that give me an error code? What other symptoms would I experience?

    If you are loosing water and no puddles on the ground you have a Blown Headgasket.
    Look for white smoke out tailpipe
    Running really bad at startup
    Use caution engine can hydrolock and blow a hole on the side of it.

    No I don't. Google or utube it.
    Have you ever torn a engine apart?
    It is very labor intensive.
    Costs about $400 in parts and get the head checked out at a automotive machine shop.
