Ever since they announced at end of January that Lexus chief Koji Sato is taking over as head of Toyota starting April 1st there seems to be a huge shift towards EV finally!

But it's before April 1st, so a bit surprising? Perhaps the past month of pro EV announcements coming from Toyota for the first time is a recognition of how horribly Akio Toyoda has run the auto-maker ever since taking over in 2009?

Toyota BEVs are no longer eligible for the fed tax credit. I really wonder what incentives it is going to find?

Obviously there's alot more than this that they plan on rolling out... As far as I can tell their efforts in the past month ever since their figure head stepped down and the previous figurehead in his Dad just passed away, that they are admitting they lost their anti-EV campaign and now have a huge amount of work to do to catch up with how rapidly the auto manufacture market has changed.

I mean who would of though Rivian would be so successful so quickly and consider that Toyota, the world's largest automaker has dropped to third place behind Tesla and Subaru when it comes to customer loyalty data. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimhenry/2021/12/31/tesla-no-1-in-brand-loyalty-then-subaru-gm-also-scores-well-experian-says

I mean how many people who signed up for PriusChat a couple decades ago are now Tesla owners? As in Toyota doubling down on hybrid cars no longer being a transition to electric cars cost them huge amounts of market share/brand loyalty already and those numbers take a really long time to change and Toyota's bleeding market share is only just getting started.

Well, my point was, even with Toyota's help, I can't find incentives that do not exist. And I don't think a campaign like this will help selling a Toyota BEV that doesn't exist. Local Toyota is not even getting any bz4X to "sell". LOL

Good point. In my opinion, this "Incentive Finder" announcement is a cloaked way for Toyota to say "see how EV we are?"

Agree, although I still have my Prius Prime, it was to "gateway drug" to getting my used 2012 Model S last Fall.
