An update: The new battery is being installed today. There is apparently no core charge on the Li-ion batts. Directly contacted four potential battery restorers. None have expressed an interest in this battery. Unless something unexpected happens, this battery will be left for Toyota to recycle.

I'm only an hour from Plattsburgh and I hope the mice that tried moving into my garage don't go for the battery pack like what happened to you. I did have a nest up in my HVAC blower and della was kind enough to pull it out and replace a cross bar that broke in the process without charging me.

Good luck with the new battery. How do you plan to keep the mice out?

Thanks! Traps, odorants and electronic ultrasound and LED machines... We have a 2021 RAV 4 Prime XSE as well, so same protocol for that vehicle, too!

Sorry about the damages. I wanted to just add my own experience with small field mice entering a car and building a nest. I have a 2017 Prime same as you. I had forgot about the candy that I dropped in the backseat for a couple of days. Upon discovering the rear seat belt being chewed up and some small wet spots on the arm rests, I started looking for more signs of mice/rodent infestations.

Then I saw it. The chewed up candy and mice poop. Just a few. Not a lot.

So I went about trying to flush this mouse out of my car. And I tried everything. From blasting the heater, blasting the music with the doors open, and eventually I settled upon the worse trap of them all.

Sticky mouse traps with peanuts/nuts/peanut butter as bait. Didn't work.

What did work was when I laid out some water in a small bowl surrounded by those sticky traps. (Because everybody needs a drink). And that was that. Disposed of the mouse and cleaned up the car.

    edit:
I am now a mouse/rat trapping expert. My family has another car in long term storage at the house that always receives small rodent visitors.

Well no more. I put out a bucket trap stocked with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. This bucket water trap is a rat/mouse war criminal. Over Winter it has taken out at least 20+ mice/field mice looking for warmth in our garage.

Never had problems again after that.
