Picked up my LE tonight, great car! Got it from Thousand Oaks Toyota for 2k over msrp, typically wouldn’t pay over MSRP, but my 2010 decided to quit, and I needed a quick replacement. This is a company car, replacing one in my fleet, and will get a bunch of miles, quickly. I drove it approx 20 miles home, taking city streets, and got 50.4 mpg in the way home. Happy with that.

I took a quick look in the rear, and it seems to have a jack and tire iron, but no spare. With that being said, all of that is in molded styrene, and I did not have a chance to look underneath the styrene, so possibly there is one?? I will loook tomorrow and confirm. Car comes smart key for drivers door only, and push button ignition. Also comes with blind spot, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and parking sesnsor, which I am quite surprised about.

Rides much better than the 2010 V it is replacing. Hatch opening is considerably smaller than my 2010 and 2013. Seats are comfortable, sound system is sub par, car is pretty.

I am a Tesla guy, and if it weren’t for the amount of driving this car will get, for the money a M3 is MUCH nicer. Convenience of pulling up to a pump, and not sitting at a supercharger for 30-40 minutes makes this much more convenient. I am both happy and excited about this Prius.

By end of next week I should have close to 1k miles in it and will report back on MPG. It will go thru freeway, streets and canyons.

Any questions, ask, and I’ll be happy to answer!

How much were they originally asking over MSRP (did they come down at all?)

When you mention the sound system is sub-par, how does it compare to your 2010 and 2013 Prius? I currently have a 2010 and I would consider the sound system on this one already sub-par, so I would be a little disappointed if there was not at least some improvement since 13 years ago.

Still waiting here in the northeast...everything is still in "build phase"

    congrats!
    compared to 2013:
    seat comfort?
    ingress/egress?
    ride comfort?
    interior noise?
    tire size?
    thanks!

Probably no spare then, but you can later buy one when they start selling them, as they provided the tools needed.

Do the parking sensors actually work?

Subpar audio meaning? Did you adjust the equalizer?

My 2010 Prius sounded much better than the 23, however it was a top of the line V, with upgraded sound. I would say it is equivalent to my 13 which is a base model. There is nothing special about the sound in the 23 at all, but I always have AirPods in listening to podcasts when driving, so it doesn’t bother me.

-Seat comfort is better than the 13, which is also a base model.
-Ingress is a bit tight, today was my first day driving it, I am 6’0 and about 200#’s, I kept finding myself hitting my knees on the dash entering. Exiting the car was fine.
-car is very comfortable to drive, has much more pickup and rides relatively smooth. Checked tire pressure and according to toms, they delivered the car to me at 41psi
    - car is very quiet driving down the road, however the electric motor is pretty loud
-not sure about tire size, haven’t looked

I drove 156 miles today, which included fwy, city streets, pch and canyons, averages 53.8mpg

Well, I have been getting 75–80 mpg with my Gen 4 Prius Prime now that the wind has blown away the air-drag-increasing humidity in LA County, albeit it is still being very cold. ;) It was pretty bad in humid weather (in comparison to what I normally get), less than 60 mpg or so. I was even down to 52 mpg once.

There's parking sensor on the LE? That's not in the spec sheet! Does it actually work?

That's one of my main gripes about the '22 Prime. There's no parking sensor or blind spot monitor even on the XLE trim.

    All trims have BSW.

All LEs produced to date have working parking sensors as far as I know.

Does the steering wheel block your view of the digital display screen…forget what it’s called. I’m only 5’3 so I’m concerned the steering wheel will be partially blocking view of it. Thanks

I think everyone will have to find out for themselves, we have different torso lengths and seats only have limited adjustment

I saw a youtube video review from a lady who was also short. I don't recall her height, but she was shorter than average - so possibly in your ballpark. She said she had no problems and loved it. She adjusted the seat height to a higher position and that worked for her!

She did mention that she had heard of it being a problem for very tall people - like 6'4"ish+ depending on preferred driving position.

Nice! Make sure you do an oil change at around 500 miles. I've never seen a break-in oil change where there wasn't little metal things in there so you want to get that out of there.

Once you've adjusted the seat to comfortably reach the pedals you should also adjust the steering wheel. It can be pushed back and down. Many vertically challenged folks only move the chair up and then they've got the wheel right at face height and that's dangerous should you have an accident where the airbag deploys

A telescoping steering wheel would have made getting comfortable in the 2005 Prius easier. I think most cars have such these days.

Don't forget the steering wheel is also adjustable.
