Hello everyone, I just picked up a super nice 2014 Prius 2 today and I'm looking to order this :

Skar Audio Dual 12" Complete 2,400 Watt SDR Series Subwoofer Bass Package - Includes Loaded Enclosure with Amplifier via Amazon. Sorry can't post links yet.

I'm terrible with measurements and numbers in general. Can someone tell me if this box will fit in the back? Another question would be if the 12v battery can handle this amp. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you're doing parking lot audio shows and stuff probably not If you're just driving the car like generally people do then the inverter is going to keep the battery charged but if the amplifier is so large that it's constantly trying to drain the battery the minute it comes on well then you have other problems and you'll be adding stiffening caps and more batteries and all of that nonsense and well the more weight more batteries and more stuff to run maybe it won't be so efficient.

"Using a tape measure in a car trunk can be helpful for measuring the dimensions of the trunk space or items you need to fit in the trunk. Here's how you can use a tape measure in a car trunk:

    1. Clear the trunk: Before taking any measurements, remove all items from the trunk so that you have a clear and unobstructed space to work with.

    2. Open the trunk: Open the trunk of the car and make sure it is fully extended.

    3. Position the tape measure: Take your tape measure and position it at the back of the trunk, where the trunk meets the rear of the car.

    4. Measure the length: Extend the tape measure along the length of the trunk until you reach the opposite end. Take note of the measurement in feet, inches or centimeters, depending on your preferred units.

    5. Measure the width: Next, measure the width of the trunk by extending the tape measure across the widest part of the trunk. Take note of the measurement.

    6. Measure the height: Finally, measure the height of the trunk by extending the tape measure from the bottom of the trunk to the highest point of the trunk's ceiling. Take note of the measurement.

    7. Record the measurements: Once you have taken all the necessary measurements, record them on a piece of paper or in a note-taking app on your phone.
By following these steps, you should be able to use a tape measure to measure the dimensions of your car's trunk."

“This box” surely does bring the dimension measurements home.

No sure if op will read all of your helpful steps. If he won’t break out a tape measure, slim to no chance he ll read

If your pulling 2,400 wrms and the 12v battery is rated at 40 amps, the battery will be drained to 0% soc in 5 minutes. 2,400 / 12 / 40

I run a lifepo4 battery in between the 12v bat and the amplifier. Caps, extra battery, upgrade alternator not needed. Lifepo4 can supply 1.5 to 2 Cs of rated amperage peak power and weights only a few pounds. The next generation of car audio electrical systems.

Well there's no alternator to upgrade so I don't know what you do there put in a larger DC to DC converter or something have no idea but generally today stereos are generally pretty decent actually so tearing apart the whole car to do the 1985 stereo rig Alpine soundstream and all that just seems kind of moot these days but you know lots of folks are still making that happen.
