Not enough gas in the system it sounds like pretty simple If you don't have a near 100 lb just sitting car not running keys nowhere in sight. You're not making any cold Make that happen and I bet you have cold all systems go Don't even worry about the oil doesn't sound like you've had enough of a leak to support losing all the system oil or the majority thereof If you did you'd see big streaks along air conditioning components. Or similar I've done a bunch of these. Get that gas to near a hundred PSI with the thing just sitting and then by the time you and get in the car and start it up and put the system on I bet you have cold air at this stage of the game it's probably time for good o-rings on most of the fittings you can see or wait till next year when it's down again if that's the case and put the o-rings in and then gas it back up

Be sure to take a peek in a saturation pressure-temperature chart for R134a when you are thinking about those just-sitting, car-not-running pressures.

You can see that 100 psig is what you will see if the underhood temperature is about 88℉, and at different temperatures it will be something else. (In other words, you'll see with that chart you can use that pressure gauge reading as a thermometer.)

Also, if the underhood temperature is around 88℉, 100 psig is what you will see on your gauge for any amount of refrigerant in the system from down at way way undercharged up to way way overcharged. That's what makes a pressure reading like that less useful for assessing the charge in the system than people think.

The pressure is only below the saturation pressure if so much has leaked out that there isn't any liquid left at all. Then as you add some, you'll show the saturation pressure as soon as you're back to way way undercharged, and it will be the same pressure from there to way way overcharged.

So pretty obviously you're probably about empty so might as well put the new o-rings on the fittings and all that while you're fooling around then if you want you can pull a vacuum on the system if you can find somebody with a pump and if not you can shoot about 1.2 lb of gas in there that's close to the full amount and see what you got..

Yes i will definitely check for leaks with brand new hoses and try not to over complicate!!! Thanks!

I do not have gauges on it yet, they will be here soon! I will check for that! And good idea with new o-rings! Thanks!

Once you've evacuated the system make sure to replace the Schrader valves on both the high-side and low-side connection ports with new ones. Might as well seeing as the system is empty.

I seriously doubt you have bad hoses That's pretty rare in any Toyota to be honest well in the Toyota models I have owned in the last 40 years it's quite rare I have a 74 Corolla with original sanden original compressor r12 hoses not a split in sight working perfectly w butane propane newer mix for EU coolers .
