How old is your 12V battery?

When you measured 12.2v with your voltmeter, did you take the measurement at the battery terminals or at the jump point in the fuse box under the hood in front?

Use your voltmeter and measure at the jump point and report back.

I think that your 12v battery is bad OR the connection of the battery terminals to the battery posts are bad/coroded/lose.

What you are experiencing are typical symptoms for a Prius with a 12v battery at the end of it's life.

I put a new 12v battery in last night so we will see if it works all day today. This is my work car and I travel 200+ miles per day. I think I may just let it run all day.

I’m stopping to get new key fob batteries today also.

does the green light on your start button stay lit up green after it’s started and your driving or does it go off ? I thought it used to stay green the whole time but mine is currently off when I’m driving but was green when I started the car

If the 12v battery didn't fix the problem I recommend going to the dealer. How many miles on the car?

This happened to me this morning too. I just bought a 2015 Gen3 and I am preparing to convert it for camping/living/traveling. I turned it on in Ready mode and was listening to music while I worked. I want to know how everything works so I removed all the storage components in the hatch of the car to access the battery and the spare tire storage area. I bumped a large orange fuse handle and it jiggled loose, but I didn't notice it at the time. I also had all the doors open so I could see how the seats can be removed. When I tried to start the car to move it forward a couple of feet, it wouldn't start and I got the "check hybrid system" message. I turned it off and on again and tried to put the car in "Drive", but it beeped at me, told me to put it in "Park" and flashed the "check hybrid system" message. I Googled the error and found a lot of advice. I double-checked the orange fuse handle, found that it was loose, and made sure it was pushed in all the way and locked into position. Then I closed all the doors, rolled up all the windows, and waited 10 minutes. When I stepped on the gas and pushed the Power button again, the car started right up and there were no errors. Hope this helps someone:)

They got me running again. He found a wire under the dash that someone attempted to repair before I owned it and he said it was a crap job so he repair the wire correctly and has worked since.

I have the exact same symptoms but still unable to start. Do you know actual location of wire that was fixed on your prius or what wire was for?
