I have a 2007 and lost the 1 key fob I had, is there any way to buy 1 online and program it w/o 1 of the originals? The dealer wants like $900 to supply 1 and program it.

You need to wipe & reseed a new set of Key Fobs... Any electronic locksmith who makes a monthly payment to Toyota Techstream software can do it for you. Or you can do it on the cheap by buying a Mini-VCI plug online and installing Toyota Techstream on an old Windows computer and then using a service in the EU that for like $40 does a math calculation of your VIN# so you can do the wipe & reseed yourself.

Found a locksmith for $300. I think that is a decent price. Thoughts?

That's a very reasonable charge if they really wipe and reseed the system considering how much they have to pay Toyota for the monthly security fee.

You know back in the early 2000's when Prius were still the newest technology the Toyota Stealerships use to tell people that the only solution is replacing the entire immobilizer system that communicates with the Fobs for $4K. Of course lies tend to wear out and not work as long as the truth.
