Yes, it also says the same on the previous page (526). The cavities for the jack and tool bag are empty and there is no lug wrench or jack handle included. I do wonder what is supposed to go in the cavity to the right of all that as I haven't found a page describing that. Currently I have a snow brush there so that it's in the car when winter comes back.

The empty one in the illustration? It's just for stuff.

Wow! You drove a lot in a week. Were those work commute miles?

Btw, can you share your total EV miles on your first full charge? Any change after a week of charging?

    Thanks

I'm in rural Ontario, I gotta drive 20km just to buy socks. Drove it home (200km), to my parents (200km) back (200km) and a little bit around town.

If I can figure out how to pull that info I will.

If it’s anything like my RAV4 prime,it’ll have a page with hybrid range and all electric range.

The range will likely change a bit as the car adapts to the way you use it (hvac, acceleration, etc)

It likely also has a ‘trip data’ page that has LOTS more info.

This $6k for BS addons is a classical mark up. I am just wondering if any one actually saw a words “mark up” with $ or cad number next to it in their car BOS?
I personally did not and will not pay a penny over MSRP for any car. I will never recover $6k in gas savings within 4-5 years of a car ownership.. It just make sense to buy top trim Mazda Cx50/5/30/3 or subaru Outback with turbo and drive them with a heavy foot and still save some money in comparison to a Prius Prime with $6k markup. And you will be able to actually pick up your new car with the trim , options and color you like on a dealer lot. Also Mazda just ran 3 year 0% financing for most of their cars.

Most resent car sale stats shows, that a lot of people actually doing exactly this. Switching from Toyota to other brands, mostly Mazda, Subaru and Buick.

Still Prius , including prime, is a nice and very reliable car and it is priced right by Toyota. Especially if you paying cash or it’s a special lease on Se trim.

The one thing I didn't order that came with the car was the rust protection. I plan on keeping the car for a long time so I would have gotten aftermarket from Crown oil but the one that comes with the car is a "lifetime application" and costs the same as about 6 years. Up here in Ontario rust protection is a must.

You can also use your Toyota app to check your total EV charge. However, the 37 EV miles showing is a mile off the readings of 38 EV miles from the dash.

So far, It has steadily increased from 34 to 38 in 17 days(y) IMG_4830.png

The trip data complains that I like to drive too fast around corners.

Up from 53km on my first charge

I get cheaper electricity (7.4c kWh) after 7pm until 7am Monday - Friday and all weekend so I set up the charge times accordingly.

Picked mine up today. Prime XSE $42999 plus freight and ac tax = 44950 - $5000 fed rebate and $1500 provincial rebate after taxes.

I'm curious about when you put your order in for your Prius Prime and what dealer. I put mine in last November for the same spec (I'm also in Ontario). I was told 2 years from that date but wondering if it'll come any earlier.

I put my order in with Yorkdale Toyota in Toronto in January. When I was given the option to get someone's cancellation I was told I would be waiting at least until November for mine.

I paid a $3k markup + MSRP on a 2023 XLE in Boulder, CO. I wasn't thrilled to have to pay it, but I also recognize the severe supply constraint and very strong demand. I did NOT have a deposit and was not on a waiting list, so I figure the markup is the tradeoff to being able to get one now locally rather than putting in a deposit and waiting many months or longer.

A Toyota sales rep told me only ~5k Prius are being sent to the US this year - anyone heard that number or confirmed volumes? That seems extremely low, but with the stories I've heard about wait times it wouldn't be too hard to believe.

That's all of the Rav4 Prime's they shipped the first year. The Japan release said 450 a month there to 4200 for the Prius.
That was for the Prius hybrid.
