    Toyota has wasted time and money on hydrogen and algae-based Diesel, and now is wasting more effort on biofuels. If Toyota really wants to bet on the continued viability of hybrids in the face of EVs they should get serious about pure-synthetic e-gasoline, as Porsche and others are doing.

    Seriously? In an era when US states and whole nations are planning to entirely ban internal combustion engines for passenger cars in the next 10-20 years you think they're gonna get around that limit on their companies lifespan by putting snake oil in the tank rather than simply switching to pure electric like every single other auto maker has already been doing for years?
