Not true of the '05. Some have the 7 inch long battery and cradle and some have the 9 inch and cradle. You can't put the big into the small..duh. If it's not a smart key then the 7 inch is the one.

Easy killer, lol. Perhaps you misread his voltage readings. He had 212 volts on the battery side, not 12v.
Pretty sure the discussion is about battery modules in the HV battery, not the 12v batteries.
I'm aware the Gen 2 SKS and non-SKS models used different 12v batteries.

First off, you're again replying to a seven-year-old thread and then starting an argument. Seeing as the door is now open ...
It is half true and overall understanding is confused by several people using incorrect terminology.

In the above Josephphamy says batteries when he means modules. So with that understanding yes, modules are 100% interchangeable.

Longinus876, you are correct with what you say, although what you're calling a "cradle" is commonly called the battery case and the Gen 3 and Gen 2 battery cases are not interchangeable. Therefore to make use of a Gen 3 battery, you need to open up the case and transfer the modules to the Gen 2 case. But even worse, it could be construed you're talking about the 12 V battery in a discussion about the hybrid vehicle (HV) battery and you do mean cradle but the cradle in which the 12 V battery sits. No wonder everyone is confused.

Last point, instead of tagging onto a gazillion old threads, tap into the power of this site by starting your own thread and stating what the problem you are facing is so that specific answers to that problem can be directed your way.

    Just a thought.

[EDIT] Just saw you already have a thread, maybe just stick to that one.
