2005 codes are P3000/ P0A80 P3012. I’m getting the RTD which I can temporarily reset with dr prius. Techstream shows only these codes. My idea was to find someone to replace the one module. However I’m seeing very strange battery block voltage in Dr prius. Most show what you would expect, block 2 is way low and voltage diff is too great, but then, same day a little later I see all blocks in yellow, and a high pack voltage. So my calculus is that if block 2 is bad, why does it sometimes show itself as good? I’m wondering if my battery ECU and or the harness hood be the culprit? Again the only codes Techstream shows are the ones listed above. These photos were all taken yesterday within a few hours.

At some point, a qualified person is going to have to LOOK at the battery pack and maybe
    manually meter some things.

BUT if you really have an 18 year old pack........replacing only the cells that are the worst and obviously
bad is just the start of an unpleasant adventure.

Since that is what they do to a lot of "rebuilt" packs, that experience is likely to be unpleasant too unless they guarantee all new cells.

Your data is very typical for a failed module- 1.0 to 1.5V lower than all others when discharging. You often see "normal" voltage with no load, then higher than normal when charging.

    It's a bad module. Period.

There's lots of posts here on options. "Just" replacing a bad module seldom works (we call it "whack a mole"). You can replace modules then "refurbish" the pack (discharge-charge cycle all the modules).

The most reliable repair is to get a set of new modules from Toyota.

Thanks, I did search and pretty much reached that conclusion. I’ll check with the local Toyota on the price and availability of modules. I’ll need a local mechanic to swap them I assume, not a job I would take on. The battery I have now was installed 4 years ago by the previous owners, reconditioned.

Your actually lucky to get 4 years out of a reconditioned pack. The proper fix is to replace with a new battery pack. That'll get you 10 years of trouble free driving.
If you can't change out the module yourself. you'll be playing wack-a-mole with the rest of the pack. Each visit to the mechanic will cost you, and after about 4-5 visits - you could've installed a new pack, instead of all the downtime.

    Just my 2 cents.

I would agree except for cost. I’m calling my local Toyota dealer tomorrow, as they do not have an online store. If I actually can buy a new Toyota unit for $1650, as seems to be the price, I may do just that if I can locate an installer, it is not a job I would tackle

Wow $1650 for a new Toyota battery pack? I am calling my local dealer tomorrow, but I'm in California. I am hoping they can match that!
