For Sale 2014 Prius Plug In, Canadian Technology Package - southern Ontario

Good day all,

I will be posting my 2014 PiP on AutoTrader soon with hopes to sell in the next few weeks or months, so I thought I would put a note up here as well in case anyone in the community is interested.

- 2014 Prius Plug In with Technology Package (top trim)
- About 220K KM
- “Clearwater Blue” colour (which is exclusive to the plug-in… see profile pic)
- Body and paint in excellent condition - no door dings (many years of parking far away paying off…)
- Never been in an accident
- No curb rash at all on factory alloy wheels (I can park, LOL)
- Spark plugs have been changed in Nov 2022, new brake rotors & pads in Sept 2020
- Tinted windows
- Steering is straight as a pin (I can drive, LOL), softex seats look like new.
- Rolling on Michelin Defender tires, two of which were replaced end of last summer and like new, after one had an unfixable puncture (other two are ~5 years old). TPMS works fine.
- Doesn’t burn a drop of oil, have never had to add any between 8K KM changes (note - 13% lifetime EV usage, so 87% HV would be roughly 191K KM of engine usage) - barely broken in.
- Includes EVSE (of course, but confirming…)
- Original catalytic converter (never stolen)
- All accessories in car work as designed (It’s a Toyota…), and I still average about 4.8-5.2L/100km on standard hybrid mode (depending on weather, speed, etc - you know the drill - and with plug in it can be skewed if you have any wall power)

- Priceless benefit of green plate eligibility for solo HOV access in the traffic nightmare that is Toronto, while also being extremely frugal on fuel, as everyone here knows.


Been on PC for over 17 years, and anyone who knows me know that I take very good care of my car. I can share more detailed maintenance records if needed. This is rare animal…. Toyota only sold about 400 of them in Canada from 2012-2015, so it is a unique car.

I also have a set of Gen 2 Alloy rims (with trim rings) with Michelin X-Ice tires I will be selling separately, if interested. No curb rash either, but a bit of corrosion from winter salt.

Asking CAD $15K for the car, and would ideally be available in August, but negotiable on timing. Of course, open to having inspection, test drive, etc.

I plan to clean the car up this weekend and get some nice pictures and will add to the thread in a few days.

Unfortunately no… this generation plug-in never offered the solar roof/moonroof, that was only available on the non-plug-in.

But you get amazing fuel economy, and a short distance of EV driving instead.

 

Where did you hear it was available in Canada? That is news to me, and I followed it pretty closely at the time… Sounds like it would be a fun project though.
