So I’m replacing my 12v battery and accidentally tore one of the white plugs that goes into black terminal box that’s connected into red positive. Can I solder this or must do something else entirely? I have pics too :

There is a tool that you insert in that plug that allows that pin to come out maybe it's a molex not exactly sure I have the tool that takes the pins out and you can get replacement pins that you can solder or squeeze or glue with electric glue on and then put back into the holder and then there you go

    solder: check (sort of)
    squeeze: you mean crimp? check
    electric glue: ???

If you mean this stuff: (Ack, site screwing up Amazon links again, go to amazon and search for B000Z9H7ZW)

then no, do not use this material to fasten a wire to a pin. It isn't going to hold parts together in a vibrating environment, especially if there is any tension on the wire.

Personally, I would crimp the wire in the pin, and then maybe solder it for good measure. I wouldn't just solder it because that is more likely to fail than a good crimp.

Dielectric type glue temporary till you get tools to remove pinnew pin crimp and or solder etc. I don't know if these type of pins you can just use a small pic to get the piece out of the plug I cannot remember I have this other little set of tools that has all the different sizes of molex pins on it and usually one of those works

or for the true cheapo version, go to a junk yard , cut the wires to the connector, and splice those wires onto your good wires. no crimping tool required.

The "Toyota way" to repair that would be to buy the repair terminal for that connector (which Toyota sells as the terminal pre-crimped to a short length of wire), and cut back your damaged wire end a bit, and splice it to the repair terminal, splicing as Elektroingenieur describes here.

You can get the part number for the proper repair terminal from the Electrical Wiring Diagram, as described here, or they can look it up for you at the dealer's parts counter. The same display in the wiring diagram will show you how the old terminal comes out of that plastic housing and how your new terminal locks in.

Toyota charges handsomely for those "repair terminals", considering it's a tiny crimp terminal and a few inches of wire. I think they were around $17 last I checked, which is kind of insane, but at least you know you're getting the right thing and you don't have to spend a lot of time hunting for it.

If there's a boneyard near you that you know has a Prius and you know still has that connector to cut off and that's less than $17 worth of trouble to you, then yeah, that's the way to go. If the boneyard is further away or it would be more than $17 of trouble, then just pick up the right repair terminal at the dealer and be done with it.

Or use a depinner or small thin screwdriver to move the lock up, pull out pin/lance and resolder the wire to the pin/lance .
    Then insert soldered pin/lance.
Direction of the special tool (flat thin screwdrier) for the male side.
