It’s coming from my fuse box then it’s hooked to a screw on the relay or what’ever the little box is on the side of my inverter. The end of it is hooked to the fuse box there in the red then the other end is got like a femal and male port on it with a rubber thing that like closes it off … anyway it was just like hanging there and I didn’t know if it goes somewhere actually

I'm sorry but I can't make anything of your photos. It's too close (so no context) and too blurry so I can't make out what wire you're talking about.

I had a little maintenance battery charger on another car with a similar detachable cable. Yours is attached right to the stud in the fusebox where you would attach it, if that was what you wanted.

I bet your absolutely right about that being what you said.. Thank you I just needed to make sure I had forgotten to plug something in. And that maybe the reason it won't start.

You need to retrieve the trouble codes that are associated with the warning lights on your dash.

One way is to use TechStream software loaded on a Windows computer and an OBD2 interface cable. Another way is to buy an OBD2 Bluetooth scantool that is compatible with your Prius. See the linked thread below. https://priuschat.com/index.php?threads/232741/

Or you need to have the car towed to a Toyota dealership or independent mechanic for diagnostics.

Sorry for the bad pics but a fella on here said he had a similar thing and it went to a battery charger.. Makes sense I was just trying to make sure I didn't miss something that needed plugged in and maybe it was the reason my car won't start now.

It is very reasonable to ask about the extra cable that you found that is not connected to anything.

In the other thread that you created for this same problem, you wrote that you have an OBD2 scantool. Can you please tell us what scantool you own. I am asking this question because most generic scantools can not read all the trouble codes for a Prius, and the one you own may not be adequate for your car.

I wouldn't think an added charger cable being unplugged would be any reason for the car not to start.

Yes you can buy those plugs at Walmart and some chargers have the other end so you just plug the charger right to that set it under the hood close the hood to the first click and you're good to go and let it rip charge it whatever that plug is commonly used mostly in powersports equipment motorcycle snowmobiles lawn tractors things like that so you can put the battery on what they call a tender which is like a one or two amp trickle charger that's computer controlled

No problem, that is why this forum is a great place to ask questions.

Right at the start of this thread, you said you removed the orange plug (safety overlock) from the hybrid battery. Subsequent questions were raised querying whether you reinstalled it correctly, to which you did not really provide an answer.

Can you confirm whether you did all three steps, as shown in the image below? You have to definitely press the lever vertically down in step 3 so you get a solid positive click which will confirm the plug is locked in place. Can you check this and confirm it is lock down?

Given that the OP has said "no power at all anywhere", fixation on the traction battery service plug may be a bit distracting.

If the traction battery service plug is not pushed in and slid to lock, you still have power to the dash, and a warning triangle, and a P0A0D diagnostic code to tell you that's the issue.

"No power at all anywhere" is a different symptom.

What you're describing is a fusible link a major fuse the big long one under the hood a serious 12 volt problem something You should have at least all of your 12 volt stuff working in the car with the 12 volt hooked up and I think even with the hybrid battery disconnected I can plug in my 12 volt and go up to the front of the car and make the door locks unlocked so I can get in the trunk I just did this to the 2007 I think day before yesterday The hybrid battery is completely disconnected and turned around the sideways so the battery is sitting long wise front to back just sitting there not connected to anything and I thought I had folded the floor mat properly and put it under the trunk lock so it wouldn't latch I don't know if somebody came out and moved it or my neighbor put it down because it was going to rain or what was going on but anyway somehow the latch got latched I opened the back door on the passenger side slid the white plug into the 12 volt assembly the big one the big plug went over to the driver door and push the unlock button and then came back and pushed the button on the deck lid.open right up . I did not push the power button to see if I would get displays maybe I'll do that today but I think so.

In another thread the OP confirmed it was indeed the service plug not being locked down so, obviously "no power at all anywhere" means different things to different people.
