Go with the ceramic tint; it stops the heat from pushing through the glass.
back around 2012-2013, on my Prius C it was $125. 4 doors and rear glass - shopping around.
On my 2021 last year it was $275, 2 rear doors, rear glass and rear deck glass. That wasn't really shopping around and the summer heat here was really pissing me off; but it was ceramic tint. Rear passengers commented that the sun no longer burns the back of their neck, with that tint.

    Hope this helps

I got the dealer to do mine. I would expect to pay around $250-300 to do it otherwise.

35% all around, ceramic Xpel 88% IR rejection. Not on windshield, maybe in future, will be not tint on that though.

Was under 4 bills out the door. After it's done check all your seals on every window - in my opinion - because I noticed some of it was not tucked in properly and it was causing a lot more wind noise.

That was on the front tiny window bear the side mirrors, in the very front towards the hood part. The trim seal rubber parts were bowed completely out at the corner. Tucked it in and noticed (maybe placebo) much less wind noise.

Yep, you need to check their work. The shop that did my 2021 had to redo two windows - found wrinkles. I'm normally not that fussy; saw them before I left the shop. The guys at the shop swore to me that they would settle out; well they didn't - so it was redone a week later.

Just had my Corolla done. Ceramic $300 installed and transferable.

15% on the back window and rest 30% with a 15% strip along the top of the windshield.

When I buy a new car its the first thing I do.What a difference in the way the car looks.

While I do not recall the tint level, I had the same tint all around...looks like while parked. When driving all is fine UNTIL nighttime... the front windows are extra dark at night.. next time around a light tint on the front windows.

A real pet peeve of mine is window tinting that makes drivers invisible. There's good reason this is illegal in most jurisdictions!

Pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers need to be able to make eye contact with the driver of a vehicle, at intersections and other times it's important to figure out the intentions of a driver.

I've heard stories of drivers from other provinces getting tickets in Quebec, where they regularly enforce window tinting laws. In Ontario 70% VLT (visible light transmission) should be permissible on front side windows – but it's complicated.

I live in one of those states, where it's illegal to tint the driver's door forward, that's both front doors. Most shops are willing to do the front doors, but make it clear that they're not responsible. They will charge you to remove it, if you get a "fix-it" ticket.

It's always a good idea to limo (black-out) tint the rear doors and go with the lightest tint they have for the front doors. With that contrast, cops will do a double take; but I haven't been stopped for window tint in over 20 years - Knock on wood:)... So, if you move to a neighboring jurisdiction where that's illegal, you're less likely to get into trouble.

    Hope this helps....

35% on mine, $300 at a dealer and they installed Nitrogen for the tires.
Also get a lifetime guarantee on the tinting.

Have not, but plan to with the xpel ceramic at 70% or higher, so it's not noticable probably but still rejects a lot of IR

Went with full ceramic including clear on the windshield. After 4 consecutive 100F degree days recently, trying to cut down on the heat.

I live in California too. Its not illegal to tint the front windows. Max is 88% light in, or 70% VLT if its already got a factory tint.

The very first mod I did to my car was the window tint. Hot sunny summer days gave me a lot of incentive to do so. I had ceramic tint done on all the windows, 20% for the rear windshield and rear passenger windows, and 30% for the driver and passenger windows.

Our cars’ front windshields let a lot of heat in. Highly recommend 70% ceramic for the front if nowhere else for those who have hot summers.

The glass roof also lets a lot of heat in. Has anyone tinted their roof? I’m hesitant owing to reports of Tesla roofs cracking after being tinted because of “trapped heat.” Although I suspect it’s due to stress caused by a difference in rates of thermal expansion btwn glass and film across their sheer size. Our roof panes are much smaller are divided in two sections.
