I picked up my new LE yesterday, and although the setup wasn't perfect of the Connected Services (it failed 3 times and a techie from the dealer had to come out to give a work-around), every time I started the car, the radio reverted to the boring Android Auto 'station app' CNBC instead of playing Sirius XM that had been playing previously.

I changed the source back to Sirius XM, then turned the car off, and then on again. Same thing happened. What gives? Doesn't the audio remember the last station that was selected for when the car starts again?

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!

Just a thought: if you end up subscribing to Sirius XM, look into using a temporary credit car number, one that can be cancelled easily. Those guys will auto-renew you, no matter what you say.

I've had Sirius XM for years- the trick with them is to call them back and cancel right before your auto-renew comes up; then they can give you a great deal for the following year. You have to do this every year, but it saves a bunch of dough! For the 3 month for free Sirius XM included, I received an equivalent of 8 months for $ 2.00 from Sirius XM; I won't be 'auto-renewed until March, but I'll be calling them prior to that to do a new deal with them. I get the Platinum plan. Normally, I pay about $ 7 per month when I renew payable monthly.

But back to the question at hand- does anyone know why when restarting the car, it defaults to the Android Auto app (in this case CNBC), and overrides which station was selected (Sirius XM) previously?

I believe Android Auto has a setting for auto-playing music; have you looked into that to see if it's enabled? If so, it would likely override the stock infotainment system behavior.

When we (the salesperson and I) were setting up Android Auto, there was a setting for starting it automatically. Not sure where that is and can't find it again. It autoplays from my husband's phone and not from mine.

If you have a sirius subscription that includes streaming from your phone, you can choose Sirius from the Android Auto screen and navigate with voice control (we are still learning, it is a process). To navigate or choose apps verbally, hold down on the phone/voice button at the bottom of the button panel on the steering wheel. when it beeps speak your request (navigate to China Go Wichita, Play sirius channel 711, open Cloud Library) you may need to experiment with the way Google wants the commands stated, but it works really well.

We haven't had much luck with the wifi/wireless connection to the app, but I think I may not be turning on the wifi on the phone (don't use it at home).

The solution for me was to delete CNBC from the apps (I don't listen to it anyways); that means the default to the startup is the last station selected, since the apps are no longer there.

This is an update. I think the wireless connection wasn't calling for the Wifi on my phone. I don't usually leave it on because of problems with my home phone, but I turned it on the other day for something and didn't get it turned off. My car (the Prius) automaitcally connected to Android Auto wirelessly immediately. Prior to that I had to plug it in for AA to work. Don't know that even is the reason, but it has been working for several days/trips pretty reliably.

I tried changing my credit card number. It still went through without my consent. My bank said they had access to my credit card account number, and were able to use my new credit card number.
