    Hi everyone,

I recently purchased atoto f7 car stereo, which arrived today.

It came with a wiring harness and I did not realise that I would need some sort of a adapter for it to work with the original harness.

My question is how hard is it to hardwire the harness into the existing car wiring and if anyone can provide me with some solid instructions.

I know that buying an adapter would be a lot easier, but I cannot find one locally and ordering online would take at least 2-3 weeks and I am eager to install my new stereo!

SO......you are willing to take a chance on screwing the whole thing up rather than wait a mere 3 weeks to do it right ????

    NOT a wise choice.

IF.....there is a car stereo shop where you live, I suggest that you just pay THEM
to do it right the first time.

Any links to where I can get the appropriate adapter for 2012 prius c that will work with the atoto f7?

I've been roaming the internet without success.

Finding something like that locally would be impossible, will have to order from US.

I bought the radio used from ebay.

I've managed to find a harness for the model that I have that should work with toyota:

ATOTO S8 wiring adapter for Toyota and Subaru

Do you by any chance know if 2013 prius c has a 20 pin connector?

Also, I've previously installed one of those Chinese mirror backup cameras, which uses 3.5mm jack for the camera.

Any idea whether I will be able to use the same camera with the new stereo?

    NO.
Time for someone else to chime in.
But you might be the only person on the planet......ever......to try
and do what you are doing with the car and equipment that you have.
    Good luck.

I basically decided that waiting for harness was not an option and wired the head unit myself today.

It went surprisingly well, was not easy, but I got everything hooked up and everything seems to work well.

I even managed to wire and put the aftermarket microphone in the exact spot where the oem one was.

Only thing I did not figure out is how to wire the antena cable.

Should I just cut and wire it or will it require an adapter of sorts?
