    • Cooler temperatures reduces tire pressure
      • Check alignment and tread depth
      • Snow tires as needed
    • Good time to replace filters, cabin, and optional engine
    • Engine oil change if you have one

    Funny you mentioned '250,000 mi' as my Tesla is at 115,000 miles and my past gassers barely reached 200,000 mile +/- 50,000. My rides 'work for me' and tend to go to the junk yard when I'm done.

    Since I swore off toyota Mazdas have been my only non-GMC cars.
    Mazdas are PHENOMENAL cars but I'm getting a little long in the tooth for the Zoom-Zoom thing, and my vehicles have to earn their keep by being able to tow and haul.
    I gave Subies a look but they didn't fit my needs personally although I've always been a fan.
    GMCs aren't 'better' than Yota IMHO but their parts are more democratized and they are easier to maintain - or at least they have been for me, personally.
    As we've discussed earlier I tried to add a TACO to the herd for over a month, and was saved from that endeavor by Toyota's distributors.
    I showed my math on the GMC truck versus T3, which DOES have a tow capacity and those deltas are shrinking fast. I utterly loathe the use of the term ROI for vehicles since they are an EXPENSE and not an INVESTMENT - but math is still math. I'll add a PHEV to the stable some day, but for now I will continue to let early adopters pay off the non-recurring engineering fees.

    ---I used to be a Droid-only dude but once my failings as a father and husband caught up with me, and the price deltas shrank enough I went over to the dark side. ;)

    Oh man, "Southeast Toyota" is so corrupt!
    • 1991 Camry, manual (new) - lost when insurance 'totaled' the car and changed it to a salvage title. Lessons learned, carry only liability on cars you like.
    • 2001 Echo (new) - third and last visit, the local sales manager finally got on the phone and shipped an acceptable one from Florida.
    • 2003 Prius (used) - flew to Dallas-Ft Worth to pick it up and drive 800 miles home. Arrived with first mph vs MPH chart data.
    • 2010 Prius (new) - bought directly from Toyota (then CA) and delivered to Decatur. There was a recall on securing floor mats to avoid jamming the accelerator and mine did not even have the d*mn pins to hold it down.
    • 2017 Prius Prime (new) - Rhode Island, flew out and 1,200 mi delivery drive home. Then it started to break every engineering design principle known.
    If you have time, PM me and we can coordinate when I'll can drive over my 2017 BMW i3-REx and have you (and kin) do a real test drive. I am a through believer in Munro reviews and learning a new technology with a used car.

    My 2014 taught me 90% of what an EV owner needs to know in 2016 with a safety 'range extender.' At $15,000, some pretty good ones are out there.
