    Hi everyone,

I bought a 07 Prius a couple days ago as is and it drove fine, but a little later these codes popped up along with the red triangle, brake system alert, VSC, and check engine. I have checked the inverter fuse, & the coolant is flowing. Does anyone have any suggests of further diagnostics I can do. Could it be the HV ECU and harness? Any leads or pointers to other threads would be helpful thank you!

So, your first two codes are, "there's a problem with the HV system". Next (P3000) the hybrid control ecu is saying "hey, the HV battery ecu says it has a problem". (B1421 is the A/C ecu complaining that the solar sensor isn't in direct sunlight - ignore it).

Then we get to P3020 set by the HV battery ecu. Block 10 voltage is "too different " from the other blocks for "too long".

What are you using for a scantool? You will want to monitor block voltages while driving the car to see what is happening - esp during moderate to hard accel and braking.

Normally voltage differences don't exceed 0.3V for more than a few seconds. If a cell in a battery module fails, that block voltage will drop by 1.0-1.5V vs others on accel (& will go higher than others on braking).

I am using the Maxi Com MK 808. So it could possibly be that block 10 is bad. I will clear code and monitor block ten.I do have freeze data and it is 15.51 while the others are around 15.7

    thank you
