Can I get a Second federal rebate

    I bought a 2022 Prius prime and got the federal rebate the next year as tax rebate. If I trade this car in for a 2024 or 2025 Prime, can I get a second rebate.

    There are no tax rebates (credits) for Toyota starting 01/01/23.
    They don’t qualify under the new rules

    The tax credit will become an instant rebate at the time of purchase next year. Therefore, if you buy a qualifying vehicle—not a Toyota—next year, the purchase price will automatically be reduced by up to $7,500.

    In 2024, the IRS is expected to allow consumers to transfer the credit to the dealer to lower the price of the car by the credit amount, which will effectively allow all eligible consumers to benefit from the tax break.
