This is for the 2012 - 2015 Plug-in Prius. As many people who own these first generation plug-in Prius have noted, they've significantly lost their EV range as the car has gotten older. This new design does more than restore the original EV range, it doubles the original EV range!

As always, if you have questions about this pack, please post them here. Or if you have a more personal question, you're welcome to email me: [email protected]

At 92,000 miles when I sold my 2012 after 5 years of use, there still was not any degradation. It was easy to get the original 12 miles of EV range. To achieve double, I would expect a significant kWh capacity fit into the same storage compartment.

That's good to hear there was no degradation... This design was by request from a good number of Plugin-Prius owners who had experienced significant degradation, some lost their EV range by as much as half.

I wonder if your driving style had anything to do with it? Did you maxmize use of EV or just drove it and let the computers decide what was needed?

Because Toyota charges just under $10K for a replacement battery, I think there's lots of potential for these modules in years to come... I mean who wouldn't want double the range for half the price?

I'm confused about what you are offering here. The PIP is already has lithium batteries. Are you saying you are doubling it to 25 mile range?

    These are aftermarket lithium batteries.

I have a lithium pack right now and have been enjoying the ride ever since.

Yes these are a more refined Lithium chemistry that wasn't available a decade ago... More energy dense and safer, which means better EV range. I'll get more details on the exact chemistry and update tomorrow. I'm not finding that reference in my notes at the moment.

Yes, but it's complicated... Basically, updating the battery pack to the latest manufacturing advancements of the past decade.
