And electronics are cheap once the R&D is done.

I watch a lot of auto repair videos and I see a lot of problems with a car in a no start condition being the security system.

I have the same thing and don't know what it is but think it is a lock with a car next / attached to it? It's on the far right of the panel of lights and flashes to fast to really tell, but it is not the car with the key which always flashes. This is our second prius and I have never seen this before. Anyone know what it means? How to turn it off?

Video it with your phone, and post a frame grab from when it is lit?

Owners manuals have to be lacking in details to increase the chance of people reading them, which most people don't. We only read them when there is a problem and get lucky if it is addressed. Workshop manuals, on the other hand usually have an excess of detail that can be difficult to navigate but rewarding, like any investigation can lead to more investigation, part of the fun.

Is that what is flashing now that the car is connected to the battery maintainer?
