Can someone help me with questions for wiring an amp/sub to my 2016 prius?

    I swapped my speakers this weekend and I'm looking to tackle adding an amp and sub tomorrow.

    I was recommended a
    Metra 70-1761
    And Metra 71-1761 harness

    For my install by crutchfield.

    Im planning on taking my radio out and figuring it out tomorrow, but does anyone have any tips for a first timer before I annoy crutchfield for a couple hours during the process?

    What speakers did you replace and did you get them from crutchfield?

    This is what I like doing if you replaced the dash speakers and used metra harness already. If you tap ( I like lever connectors to do this as shown) the metra harness your leaving the stock wiring alone. You the simply run the new signal wires you added with the tap straight down into the driver and passenger side floor( the middle wires coming out of the connector in the pics ). From there you can simply run those signal wires to wherever you're going to put your line out converter amp etc. In my case I ran everything under the driver seat, including the wires for the sub in the trunk. I HIGHLY recommend using a line out converter that has a DSP. The kicker key loc DSP has and auto setup feature which is very nice. PXL_20231030_164501704.jpg PXL_20231030_164523398.jpg

    I replaced all 4 speakers and the 2 tweeters and it sounds so much better (also added sound deadening to all 4 doors)

    Now looking to hook up amp and sub
