After egr cleaning codes remain didnt fix shaking/stall

    A couple of corrections. The traction battery charging the 12 volt battery with 14 volts happens in EV mode, not in IG on. Better yet on the heads up display the bars are grey. I was referring to the color display in Car option. Sitting in the driver seat the color of the last two bars is purpleish when only 2 bars left, but looking from the passenger side they are cyan.

    Yes the same codes, now permanent, but i can unplug the MAF and reproduce the codes as current. Message 23 has data list for engine.

    Took a break from this job to re-assess. Gen 3 prius has denso MAF and toyota tells me this is an after market product. Is this true? Should I buy the toyota MAF for $200 or stick with the Denso?

    if any one is still interested, when testing EV mode today, my prius decided to run the engine for under 1 minute and then started to shake violently again. Any clues? Still looking more closely for wiring damage. Gas, spark and air all available but I wonder if they are insufficient to run ICE. More later.

    Not my double thread I hope. I thought it had been merged. Anyway, the MAF problem is resolved but the engine still wont run normally.

    No, just the dang posting hang.

    you’re not getting misfire code (P0300~P0304)? But misfire symptoms. 130k a little early, but head gasket failure happens with tedious regularity, anywhere beyond 110k, typically 150k and onward.

    the EGR and intake was cleaned when?

    There seems to be some uncertainty with observations.

    1. There were no problems until the engine suddenly shook and stalled when driving downhill?

    2. Has there been work on the hybrid battery since you owned it?

    3. When the engine does not start does it turn over for 10 seconds?

    4. How was the maf problem resolved?

    5. Did you just have a birthday?

    I'm not getting any codes except the permanent ones (CA style) for MAF, IAT and P3190 which which should go away after I get the engine running. Checked cylinders with borescope but didnt see signs of steam cleaning the piston tops and coolant wasnt low. Checked spark with a high voltage tester on all 4 cylinders. Did change plugs to NAPA irridium. Maybe I should put old plugs in which look new.
