I am thinking about buying a used Prime to replace our 2007 Gen 2, but I have questions...

What problems or options should I be looking for or avoiding?
Is battery age more important than what's on the odometer?
Is there an easy way to determine what portion of the total miles covered have been EV only?
    What about battery capacity remaining?

Headlights in perfect shape, and all the other very expensive light housings, for one.

one thing to note is the leaky exhaust coolant heater, see if it has been repaired, or if an update is available, assuming it is the same as n/a models.
windshields were an issue on some, infotainment screen rebooting.
on our 2012, aftr 11 years and 87,000 miles, (50k all ev) it had only degraded about 15%. i can only expect that 2017 is even better.
don't forget, you're going from nimh to lion, so some of the things we know about nimh are no longer valid.
all the best with your search!

Thanks! I have eliminated the Gen 1 PHV due to the limited EV range and top speed, so I am looking at 2017 on.

yes, gen 2 is much improved. you're smart to focus on it. i loved my gen 1, and would have traded for a gen 2, had they not raised the hatch floor.
