Anyone know where the lock/unlock beeper is on a UK gen2 and how to get at it? I need to replace it.

I don't know but I think all the beeping that goes on in my generation to an America is on the backside of the board that has your speedometer display because when I replaced mine with one from the company in Texas with the new capacitors on it I removed that speaker when I installed it in my car and now I have no beeps of any sort none and I mean none so I think I got the speaker I needed to get there aren't any others I don't think I don't even get the beep when the brake accumulator goes bad and low pressure is reached that's solid beep no more I don't think I think it all goes through that speaker no matter what module sets it off that's what makes the noise so far as I can tell.

Just look at a picture of the green board that houses the speedometer the gas gauge etc and look on the back side of it You can see it in pictures.

If you're talking about the external 'beeper' (which I think you are), it is located behind the mudguard liner in the LH front mudguard. Near-side I think you call it over there. Up high central, I believe, but don't quote me on that.

If it has gone quiet, you might check that the settings for the feedback beep haven't been accidentally changed via Techstream before pulling things apart. It is the first thing I did when I got my 2007. I don't mind the indicators flashing, but I can't abide by the car beeping every time I lock/unlock it. But that's just me.

Oh that's the external speaker the one on the outside when I turned my alarm off in the Toyota software I guess I was able to turn that one off so that's out of sight and out of mind to me. The only other one I know of is behind this speedometer head It does all the beeping and noise making for seemingly everything in the car once I remove that one now I have no noise The alarm from activation and what have you I turn that off and Toyota software I do believe the lights don't even flash.

Generally, the internal beeper (in the CM) makes no noise apart from the door open, reverse, seat belts, etc. Mine hardly makes noise as it has trained me.
That can also be configured on or off as required. The default is on.

The solid beep for low brake pressure is its own beeper down under the dash. If you haven't heard it since doing something to the CM, sounds like coinkydink.

I've checked in techstream and it's on.
In my old age , the ears are not what they used to be so I want to hear it now so that I can be sure it's locked.

I don't really want to hear it The lights flashing is nice then I don't have to hear I just see the Amber lights blink and the car's locked or unlocked One of those outside beepers goes off every time I hose off the car especially on my wife's 13 persona. But I guess that may be because the keys in the car but the car is completely off The doors are closed I'm just hosing off the outside of the car coming in off the dirt road and the thing will start beeping and then it will just randomly stop whether I turn the hose off or not I'm not sure what this trying to tell me and I really don't even care it's just kind of funny.
