    Hi everyone!

My aux port fell into the center console of my 2010 Prius (I’m pretty sure it’s a gen III) and I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to replace it with out completely disassembling the entire console. I’ve scoured the entire internet and Prius chat for weeks now and it seems like I’m the only person in the world posting about 2010 aux issues; I keep getting results for pre 2010 or 2012 and up so I’m just gonna go ahead and ask for help at this point.

I did find this manual but it seems overly involved and I’m not sure if it’s necessary to do all of that just get to the aux:

    I
’m hoping someone has a simpler solution? I do have extra long tweezers that I tried to use to pull it out, kind of like Operation, but was unsuccessful.

My initial issue was that the aux input was substantially quieter than the radio or CD player. The radio and CD player generally plays at a decent volume around 15-25 while the aux has to be more like 45 even with my phone volume turned all the way up. I initially suspected that my aux cord was shorted so I bought a new one. When I plugged in the new cord, there was a crunch sound and the entire port fell through into the abyss.

If anyone has any info, tips, post, resources, or recommendations about accessing the aux port it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

You don't need to remove the lid, just take the whole thing out.
Then you can get to it.
It's been a while, but I "think" if you remove the back of it, passenger seats,
you might be able to get to it and push it through. Maybe mold a piece of
plastic or thin wood to cover the slot, and cut a piece out to slide the cables
through. Not pretty, but who will see? :)

Look on ebay, or amazon, you can find the outlet with a usb and audio port
with an extention cable on it so you can put it in the front by the 12v port, or
any one of the blank fitting. I put mine undert the POWER button.
Then route the extention cable under the center console to the arm rest.
    And plug it in....
I was going to include two photos, but it won't let me, says there is an error.
I tried to upload one I have uploaded in the past, same error....

This will get you started though:
USB/Aux Accessory Extension Cable Universal For Toyota Car Audio Cable | eBay

Dash AUX Flush Panel Mount Extension Cable Adapter 2 USB Port For Car Truck SUV | eBay

USB 3.5mm AUX Male Mounting Car Dashboard Panel Audio Flush Mount Adapter Cable | eBay

Were you able to resolve this?

Haven't gotten a chance to investigate until today. I'll let you know.

I’m going to get my trim tool from my brother in law and see if I can’t just remove the back panel and try and push it out. My car doesn’t have USB ports. I assume that they just charge or can they control your iPhone as well?

Depending on the radio, the usb port may control the iPhone.
    Mostly they are for charging.

I was able to pry off the back panel of the console and retrieve the aux port! It's not pretty but now I have my music back. Thanks!
