Battery Warranty

    And yet, in my Model 3, I don't get regenerative braking until the battery is above freezing temperatures, and even then, it's just mild regenerative until it warms up more.

    Maybe since an Hybrid has to have its battery constantly charging/discharging for it to actually work as intended, they have a different Lithium Ion chemistry than a plain EV, I don't know but I haven't seen any documentation stating so either.

    Exactly! The chemistry of TODAY’S batteries have evolved significantly (one of the reasons they are being used in more applications). So the design parameters set forth by the design engineers (real ones) will determine the operational parameters (and their costs). I would hesitate to even suggest the battery installed in a 2016 Gen 4 would meet the same specs as the one installed in a 2022 Gen 4 (PLEASE notice I said hesitate).
