Yes I've used that before for my original cable that came with the Toyota computer mine checks out I think I'll have to run that utility again but it works on all my cars except this 1 2010 so. I'm guessing my cable's good and something's wrong with that car and that's okay for now.

So pin 16, the +B pin, is one of the ones shown as no good?

What do you measure on that pin to chassis ground?

After perusing Tech stream I found a cool feature under "Help" to check the cord and port. It appears that pins 6,7,14, and 16 are no good. I checked with two different cords. Both gave the same results.

If my eyes don't deceive me, you've just replied to my question replying to your cable test, by reposting your cable test post I was replying to.

I see what I did. I miss typed, twice. This is what came up when I ran a test on the port and the cable. Ports 6,7, 14, & 15. #16 checked out ok. Looks like a fairly easy fix.

FIXED! We did replace the engine ECM during our troubleshooting of this problem. We discovered the OBDii port was defective. I went to a local auto recycler and pulled two ports from a couple Prius'. (I grabbed one for a spare). Spliced the new ODBii port in and was able to read the codes. Turns out the Engine ECM needed to be replaced. Happy all is well and problem solved!!!
