Help! So someone else was driving my Prius prime when the 12 volt died and the car became unusable.
Nothing worked (dead battery) and so a tow truck was called.
They dragged my baby into the flatbed with a winch still In park with the Parking break engaged. A loud snapping sound was apparently heard so I’m assuming the manual parking break line was snapped.
Does anyone have any idea if there could be other damages since it wasn’t set to neutral ?
Just wondering how bad the damage will be when a new battery is installed and she’s fired up.

    Sorry to hear it!
Hopefully just the parking pawl for a short distance like that.
When you start it, there should be trouble codes to read

Is the parking pawl serviceable from the outside of the transmission? From this video, I doubt it.

If they broke it, it's going to be an expensive repair...

Yep, I carry a Lithium ion booster pack in the trunk of my Prime and another one in the Frunk of my Model 3.

I used to carry booster cables in the past in my ICE vehicles. Things of the past. Now if someone needs a boost, less trouble with a booster pack.
