    Hello everyone,

My mechanic recently installed a new battery in my 2006 Prius, and about a week later, I encountered the engine check light along with the P0138 trouble code (Oxygen sensor circuit high voltage). I'm wondering if it's possible that something went wrong during the battery installation, or if these issues are unrelated.

Could the installation process have caused any issues, or are these problems likely independent of each other?

    Thank you for your help!

My first guess: About as much chance as installing a headlight bulb would make your rear tire fall off.

But, are you confident that error code is being read correctly?

    Here's a link to a previous discussion/troubleshooting guide. Maybe just a relay?

How bad it would be if I continue driving with that error?
