    Hello all!!
Thanks for having me. As the title states, today I bought my first Prius. It's a 2023 LE. I traded in a 2015 Corolla S with 210,000 miles. One of the cheapest to own and operate vehicles I've ever had the pleasure of owning . It was kinda sad letting it go, but it was time.

Now I've got this space ship to drive. Holy moly what a difference. It's an incredibly solid feeling vehicle. So far I really dig it. I still have a bunch to learn. Hence why I am here. Looking forward to learning more about this vehicle from the ones that have had them for a while. Cheers!

Nice! Welcome to the Prius family....I liked my wife's 2017 she got to replace her old Corolla so much I got myself an AWD version in 2021!

Make sure you read the ginormous Owner's Manual from front to back, especially if this is your first Hybrid....lots to learn!! (And never top off the gas when refueling...let it auto-click off and it's done...trust me!)

Thank you, and thank you for the fuel fill info. I've long been a fuel tank stuffer. I can wedge another gallon or more after the first click. lol

I just went through a quick reference guide found on here that was pretty informative. It helped a bunch. I'll def get the owners manual out and have a look.

    Welcome!
I, too, just bought our first Prius. I like the white! Our blue shows dirt terribly.

PDF versions of the owner's manuals can be downloaded from a couple of locations. Toyota Tech Info is where I usually go; on it's homepage they're under the "manuals" tab. Easier to search than the paper book, I've found: our owner's manual is ensconced in the glove box, hardly every opened.

Ditto for the Warranty and Maintenance Booklet, which outlines the maintenance schedule, albeit in sand-pounding event-by-event format, miaking it impossible to see the maintenance frequencies at a glance. For that you need to go through it page by page, enter everything into some sort of table format. Spreadsheets are handy for formatting that; attached is 4th gen I've done, probably very close, enough that you could just tweak it for 5th gen differences.

Thanks!! I love the BLUE!!! I wish I had that color option available but i had to take what I could get as these cars are pretty scarce these days. I was thinking Blue first, then grey, then silver, and then white in order of paint color desire. The white has a really cool pearl effect to it in the sun. Looks pretty nice!!

Thank you very much for the info and the file downloads. It is very much appreciated. I've got some catching up to do to get acclimated to owning a Hybrid.

I love that blue color...what crazy name did Toyota give to it? I would call it Blueberry Blue! :)

Got my first Prius (Prime) in December. Tried to read the Owner Guide right away -- what a pain. So I looked for an electronic version that would at least let me search for undefined terms. The PDF version is slightly better, but Toyota missed the chance to make a real computer guide with hyperlinks. On the page of icons, some of the icons are not included.
Toyota is a fine auto company (owned 'em since my '74 rusted "trash mobile" and '83 Camry) and loved them, but they are not a computer company with good user interface design.

That's true, Jim. I have family members with Mazda's and even a Hyundai Palisade and both's infotainment systems put Toyota to shame.

I really like how Mazda's allows the user to define maintenance notifications...you can pick the number of months and miles for things.

Reservoir Blue isn't too bad. We saw one, a Prius, the other day and we both thought it was looked sharp!

I think the dumbest one is for my wife's light green Prius..."Sea Glass Pearl"....how do you get light green out of that?? My white Prius is Wind Chill Pearl so my wife named her "Mini Pearl" but only older folks get that!
