Well I use a $30 lawn mower battery quite a bit and a few of our Prius and the 12 volt really doesn't do much so there's always that I have LED lights fitted throughout so other than blowing the fan and sometimes running the lights at night which I rarely drive at anymore not such a big deal but yeah that's really cool man I guess.

So, you're replacing a stock 46AH 12v battery with a ~6.5AH(?) Nexcell and saying it's more reliable and more powerful?
To get the same AH, I would need 7 modules in parallel. $140? A brand new S46B24R AGM at Walmart is ~$170.
Can you better explain the advantages of your battery?

$20 for a Nexcell module? Are these new or are they seconds/rejects/returns? If they're brand new, I can buy 14 modules from you for $280?

I followed the link and they are returned blades that have been tested and are being resold for uses other than a hybrid lithium battery pack

I’ll stick with oem. Seems like any attempt to save money on these vehicles often leads to a costly ending

If it's lightweight you want you can buy lithium ion car batteries the one that would go in a Prius would be like three little modules sandwich together in this case they're not anything like the project lithium is kind of like what's on my motorcycle I've had no problems out of it at all and they weigh nothing I just 12 volt some kind of lithium battery but it looks like a regular car battery it's in a little case and often the batteries are a third the size of what you're taking out You have to put foam and spacers and all kinds of nonsense I've tried to buy the batteries that are as close to my size that I'm taking out regardless of the AH rating or whatever I don't want to have a teeny tiny little battery when I can have close to the original size just full of whatever's in there that makes it so light you know That's all.

I am not making a judgement on any one's choice of replacement parts but need to point out a fact. AGM(stock prius battery) and lithium require different charging specs. Look it up if you don't believe me. If this has an effect on the car charging system has not been investigated. If it does a savings now could translate into a bill later. Maybe a year, maybe a few years, maybe never. Your car your choice.

hahhaha, which lawn mower battery? this was just me seeing it it would actually work or not.

these are the grade B batteries. I plan on building two 150ah batteries out of my OE Plugin cells and just experimenting with things and this particular battery.

ha! it definitely wasn't trying to save money, I was looking for a way to see if one cell could be used by someone to jump start their Prius. It can! Also investigating methods to make it so if the Battery is dead, power to the hatch switch can be made using some doehicky and one of these cells.

this was just about me seeing if one cell could operate a Prius, the thought was could someone buy this and use it to jump start their vehicle or even provide power to the rear hatch so one could open it while having a dead battery.

hahahaha, glad to here someone out there doesn't judge. but yes, I agree with you and I also know that the Prius ECU is very smart and can adjust itself just like my victon smart battery charger. these days, I feel like these cars and ECUs are definitely smart! smart enough to adjust and operate without error codes when you connect things the vehicle did not leave the factory with.

oh no, I would rather buy the more quality product even if it were more expensive. I'm a firm believer in the fact we work too hard to buy generic or cheap. Particularly when it comes to our vehicles which is like our life support! lol it's like, would you put low-quality no-name tires on a Ferrari because that's all you had the money for at the time, or do you garage it until you have saved the funds to buy the best tires for the vehicle? I'd wait and drive my Prius until I had enough to buy the proper parts for the job.

this post and what I am doing with these Prii is for research and development.

I carry around a crappy old small jump pack. It doesn’t have the oomph anymore to crank anything but does a good job waking up the Prius in f need be

I just havent brought myself to buy one and knowing how many might not have the funds to buy a jump pack that can jump start a v12(that's the one I want)... My hope is one of these plus maybe some of my secret sauce then we have a way to open the hatch when the battery is dead without removing panels and floorboards.
