So I dropped in the veepeak after sending the maint reqd icon light up but no codes were found..? Could it just be a faulty sensor issue?

BTW are these stats normal for a gen ii 183k prius.

    Thx

Maintenance required is generally on for oil change isn't it It's not a DTC code affair I don't think at least anytime the maintenance required light has been on on my generation too there was nothing to do with it in scanning it with Toyota software or my other cheap scanner In other words the maintenance required light made no difference to anything to do with any codes in the vehicle at all as I thought it should be.

Vee-Pak must be another country besides the USA or something maybe over there there's something different about the Prius but I wouldn't think so.

Yep, Maintenance Required is not check engine...thank Goodness! (My daughters have scared me with that..."Dad, there's a light on the dash...I think something's wrong!" Just a Maintenance Required. Phew...

As mentioned above, the maint req warning light on a Gen 2 is only for oil changes. At 4500 miles since the last reset, it will flash for several seconds then stay off. At 5000 miles, it will fully illuminate and stay on until manually reset.

    To reset:
Ensure the odometer is showing the odometer, not trip 1 or trip 2.
    Turn off the car.
Press and hold the ODO button on the MFD
    Start the car.
The odometer will display all dashes and then the dashes will start disappearing one by one
Once they're all gone, the odometer will display miles again.
The Maint Req counter is now reset and the warning light should not be illuminated.

This reset can be performed at any time.

... and should always be performed immediately after an oil change (whether the "Maint Reqd" light is illuminated or not).
