Try using Techstream to read the trouble codes. I think the app that you are using is not showing you all the codes.

I did before, it was subcode 591. My computer, despite turning off my firewalls and all that, deleted some of the essential files after noticing risks. So I have to find a work around. But likely the same subcode I'd imagine

You have other trouble codes besides the P0A09, which is shown in app. Can you please tell me what app you are using?

I have only seen P0A09 in both techstream and the app when I do the full scan I believe. Although I had these codes before, attached picture. I am using the app Car Scanner for Android.

You need to get Techstream working again to read all your current trouble codes. Read below:

Well, that INF code 591 legitimately goes with P0A09, and it means the code is about the VLO circuit.

I don't think there's any fuse involved in that circuit.

I would almost recommend looking at it the other way. If you had lots of experience, you might do ok with a Haynes or other third-party manual, figuring out on the fly the stuff they aren't telling you or they're getting wrong. If you're just getting started figuring out electrical diagnosis to start with, it's no fun having to figure that out too at the same time.

If I use the instructions you list, will it be a working version of Techstream, unpaid for? Otherwise I can just redo the process I did before and if antivirus pops up I'll add my files to the ignore list.

How much would it be to have a mechanic do this? Code P0A09 subcode 591, inverter works, small battery works, pump works, and from what you say it wouldn't be a fuse, so I'm guessing it's a broken wire or connector.

Seems like this is going to be another project since I'll have to buy electrical equipment and more books and diagrams, assuming Haynes will be insufficient.

It would depend on the mechanic. Some will say "it's a hybrid, I won't touch it", some will say "it's a hybrid, I'll replace all the electronics and charge you $8,000".

If you can find the one who says "oh, the code is about the wire shown on this diagram here and I've known how to troubleshoot wiring connections since high school", you might get the job done there for a reasonable price.

Techstream that runs inside the virtual machine is the hacked version. Nothing to pay for.

Hmm I will ask around then, in the meantime I bought an electric / wire repair kit, some electric resistant gloves, and will try to use the Haynes manual to figure things out.

If you search the Gen2 Technical Discussion forum for "Techstream" and "VM", you might find something.

Everything you need is included in the two files that you download from the forum that I linked to. You literally can have Techsteam running in 5 minutes after you have downloaded the two files from the other forum.

Thank you. I had it working before, from a couple ways, my laptop just keeps trying to protect me from viruses and deleting crucial files eventually. Even after I turned off protections.

After looking at the wiring diagram and these photos, one a screenshot from an inverter replacement video, I believe I'm missing the C5 plug altogether. I only have the two orange power plugs and the larger, lower and in the middle, plug, not a plug for the outlet by the orange plugs that comes out at an angle. I must have had it before replacing my ABS but throughout the job I couldn't find it. I was looking for more plugs just in case. Where would it hang or end up when loose? This must be the black plug somebody mentioned before...
