If your battery shows low on the highway- ever- it’s way past its prime.

Probably the worst thing for the battery and engine as the engine thermally cycles and only maintains the battery at a low state. If you have a water pump go out while you are gone the engine can be immediately damaged.

Yeah I meant the two extra bars it got from charging to 100 percent, it usually offloads any extra battery juice it has over 80 percents right after that downhill regen.

Just due to our changing circumstances guess we’ll be testing that.

Our ‘10 passed 100k kilometres Christmas Eve, and mid-April we’re something like 100,750. We tend to use the car once or twice a week (once a week as often as not), but do try to make it a good run, fully warmed up.

12 volt battery’s nearly always on a smart charger twixt uses.

Cycling still ages the battery. Just an occasional cycle down into the ranges you don't use knocks the memory off the battery and allows them to regain capacity in those ranges. I cringe at the thought of leaving an 11 year old prius on for hours just to maintain cabin temp with ac. Peak first world problem i guess.

I mean I will be if I sleep in it? Other than that I’m not leaving it for hours but 15 mins while I’m in the store and my dog is in the car?

We know that car will have a clean egr and a charged 12v as it is shown its spot at the junkyard. They won’t get working TPMS.

I think your brake booster will fail first.
